Tractel Tirfor® (Griphoist) – Portable Wire Rope Pullers

The Tractel Tirfor®, also known as the Griphoist, is a manual wire rope puller trusted worldwide for lifting, pulling, lowering, and tensioning loads. Unlike conventional hoists, the Tirfor works with a proprietary Maxiflex wire rope that passes completely through the unit, giving it virtually unlimited rope length and flexibility. All models feature self-gripping jaws, overload protection, and precise load control in any direction. Available in two series and multiple capacities to match your application.

TU Series – Material Handling & Man-Riding

Fully EN13157 compliant and UL classified for both material handling and personnel lifting. A Blocstop® secondary safety device is required for man-riding use.

  • TU17/TU8 (Part #18009): 1,500 lbs man-riding / 2,000 lbs material handling
  • TU28/TU16 (Part #18029): 3,000 lbs man-riding / 4,000 lbs material handling
  • TU32 (Part #18039): 6,000 lbs man-riding / 8,000 lbs material handling

Wire Rope & Cable Options

  • Available with or without Maxiflex wire rope cable
  • Lengths up to 250 ft depending on model
  • Wire rope assemblies include transport reel, tip, hook with safety latch, and certification
