Crosby G-209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackles
Crosby G-209 Screw Pin Anchor Shackles are the industry standard for everyday rigging, lifting, and towing applications. Forged, quenched & tempered from high-strength steel and equipped with an alloy pin, these Grade 6 shackles are proof-tested, fatigue rated, and built to perform under demanding field conditions. All G-209 shackles feature the Red Pin® — a mark of genuine Crosby quality.
Features
- Grade 6 Performance: Meets or exceeds the performance requirements of Grade 6 shackles.
- Forged, Quenched & Tempered: High-strength alloy steel body with alloy screw pin for dependable durability.
- Permanent Identification: Working Load Limit and Grade 6 permanently shown on every shackle.
- Finish Options: Hot-dip galvanized (G) stocked for corrosion resistance; self-colored (S) available by special order.
- Small Sizes: Sizes 3/8 inch and below are mechanically galvanized.
- Fatigue Rated: Tested at 1.5 × WLL for 20 000 cycles to ensure long service life.
- Proof Tested & Certifiable: Shackles can be furnished proof-tested with certificates to ABS, DNV, Lloyds, or other standards. Certification must be requested at time of order (additional charges apply).
- Temperature Rated: Approved for continuous use from −40 °F (−40 °C) to 400 °F (204 °C).
- Optional Charpy Impact Rating: All 209 and 210 series shackles can meet Charpy requirements of 31 ft-lb (42 J) avg. at −4 °F (−20 °C) upon special request.
- Standards Compliance: Meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 requirements.
- Type Approval Available: ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances upon request (certificates may incur extra charges).
- Federal Spec Conformance: G-209 shackles meet Federal Specification RR-C-271H Type IVA, Grade A, Class 2 (except contractor provisions).
