Product Description
Just as the name implies, log wrappers are used to securely bundle logs while in transport on the trailer. You should consult your local D.O.T. for specific regulations, but generally speaking, there are four wrappers per load. The cable and chain must achieve a Breaking Strength of 15,000 lbs or greater--and don't worry, our wrappers are built using components with specifications in excess of that standard.
Choose How You Want Your Chain Cut, or Not Each wrapper ships with 8 feet of chain. Most, but not all customers, want their chain cut evenly at 4 feet on each end. But some customers want their chain cut with 5 feet on one end, and 3 feet on the other. And other customers prefer to cut their own chain entirely, so they can customize the length on each end to their liking (yes, we've seen customers with all different length combos). Use the drop down menu above to choose which cut option you want; if you want to cut your own chain, then choose "Do Not Cut".
- Made from 6x36 class wire rope, which is still considered a general purpose wire rope, yet is much more flexible than 6x19 class with greater fatigue resistance
- Eyes are professionally formed using a 500T hydraulic swage press
- Tapered sleeves help to prevent the wrappers from hanging up too easily
- Made in house, which means custom lengths and sizes are available
