Product Description
Actek Safety Swivel Hoist Rings – Metric Thread Series
Actek Metric Safety Swivel Hoist Rings offer the same proven performance as Actek’s UNC series but with ISO metric thread sizes. Built from certified alloy steel and manufactured in the USA, these hoist rings are designed for reliable, traceable, and repeatable safety in overhead lifting. Each unit swivels 360° and pivots 180°, automatically aligning with the direction of pull to eliminate side-loading stress and maximize load control.
Key Features
- Made in the USA — engineered and manufactured by Actek Manufacturing & Engineering for precision and durability.
- 200% proof-load tested and serialized — each hoist ring is individually tested and traceable for verified safety compliance.
- 360° swivel / 180° pivot — allows full load alignment during lifts and prevents bolt torque or bending forces.
- Alloy steel construction — heat-treated, magnetic particle inspected, and fatigue tested to 20,000 cycles at 1½× rated load.
- 5:1 design factor — meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 and CE standards.
- Rated 100% from 0°–90° — maintains full working load capacity across a wide range of lift angles.
- Protective finish — black oxide standard, with optional zinc, cadmium, or electroless nickel plating available.
- In-stock availability — most common metric sizes ship quickly at competitive pricing.
Capacity & Size Range
Available in standard metric thread sizes from M8 through M36, with working load limits ranging from approximately 400 kg to 8,500 kg. Larger sizes, including M39–M100 with capacities up to 44,600 kg, are available by special order.
Typical Applications
- Machinery and equipment lifting points
- Die, mold, and tooling handling
- Rigging and fabrication setups
- Construction and industrial maintenance
Safety & Installation Guidelines
- Never exceed the rated load capacity. The 5:1 safety factor is a margin for protection against misuse and shock forces.
- Torque properly before use. Always tighten to the manufacturer’s recommended torque and recheck periodically during service.
- Ensure adequate base material strength. Parent material should have tensile strength above 80,000 PSI; for softer materials, use through-hole mounting with nut and washer.
- Avoid shock loads. Lift gradually and inspect immediately if any sudden loading occurs—repeat magnetic particle testing before reusing.
- Verify free rotation and pivoting. The hoist ring must move freely in all directions prior to lifting.
- Be aware of lift angles. The load on each hoist ring may exceed the total weight divided by the number of rings when lifting at angles or with uneven loads.
Note: Regular inspection, correct installation, and adherence to torque specifications are essential for safe use. If deformation or wear is observed, remove the hoist ring from service and perform non-destructive testing before reuse.
