Product Description
Duckbill Earth Anchors – Models 40-DB1, 68-DB1, 88-DB1 & 138-DB1
Duckbill Earth Anchors offer a fast, clean, and environmentally friendly solution for securing objects to the ground—no digging or concrete required. These anchors work like a toggle bolt in the soil, driving in easily and rotating into a locked position upon tension. Common applications include tree support, erosion control, theft deterrence, signage, fencing, and temporary structures.
Each anchor comes preassembled with galvanized wire rope at a specified length. Unlike traditional tree support systems, Duckbill anchor assemblies are fully buried underground except for the exposed eyelet. Because of this, these models are not sized by tree diameter. Instead, users should select an anchor model based on:
- Required holding strength (from 300 lbs to 5,000 lbs)
- Soil conditions (normal, sandy, rocky, etc.)
- Proper installation method (manual drive vs. powered equipment)
Key Features:
- No digging or concrete—installs quickly using drive steel (sold separately)
- Rotates into a perpendicular “load-locked” position under tension
- Fully buried installation leaves only the eyelet exposed for attachment
- Ideal for temporary and permanent anchoring applications
- Corrosion-resistant galvanized cable pre-attached
- Anchor and cable arrive fully assembled—ready to install
