When Do You Need A Gantry Crane
A gantry crane is a crane built on a structure, or gantry, to straddle something. Some examples are a container terminal on a large scale or something to hold up an engine at a mechanic on the small scale. Gantry cranes are sometimes referred to as portal cranes for the space that is open below them.

Portable Gantry Cranes are a must-have tool for rigging teams and maintenance departments because they're lightweight, adjustable, and easy to set up. With just 4 bolts located on the main beam, the Portable Gantry is super quick and easy to assemble and disassemble. Capacities available range from 1,100 lbs. to 11,000 lbs, including several span options per model. The beam height can be easily raised and lowered in the field by removing 2 bolts on each upright.
