Product Description
The Peerless Go-No-Go Gauge is a simple yet invaluable tool for conducting chain sling inspections.
- Use ONLY with alloy chain
- Find proper slot on gauge to match the diameter of chain you're inspecting
- Attempt to slide the slot over the chain
- If it does not slide over, then your chain still has sufficient material and passes the test (GO)
- If it slides over, then your chain has excessive wear and material loss and fails the test, thus needs to be removed from service (NO-GO)
This handy gauge is small, weighs only 0.08 lbs, and is marked in both imperial and metric sizes up to 1-1/4" (32 mm).
It's also important to note that a Go-No-Go gauge like this is very handy, but only accounts for material loss, and there are other important factors to consider when performing a proper sling inspection. Refer to OSHA's Guidelines if you need more information.
