According to OSHA 1926.502(e),
"Positioning devices shall be rigged such that an employee cannot free fall more than 2 feet." This means that fall positioning / restraint belts are not legal for fall arrest. It is also advisable that the employee be secured in such a way as to prevent walking or falling off an elevated work surface. Please view this
