The Crosby A-378 Sorting Hooks are popular with those that handle steel plates and / or cylinders. They are made from forged alloy steel and come in two styles as shown below. Available with or without a handle--the handle is a safety feature that helps to keep worker hands away from potential pinch points, and generally makes for easier handling.
IMPORTANT: Please note the Working Load Limit (WLL) of these hooks varies greatly depending on where the hook is loaded. Below, the WLL of 2 Tons is for when the hook is loaded on the tip. If the hook is loaded vertically, at the bottom, then the WLL increases significantly up to 7-1/2 Tons.
