Industry Association Meeting: AWRF Government Affairs Briefing U.S. Chamber of Commerce
AWRF president Jeff Bishop - also President of BLP - is looking forward to discussing industry affairs with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will take place in Washington D.C. at the Palomar Hotel. AWRF promotes interests common among companies manufacturing, fabricating, or distributing lifting, rigging and load securement devices made of chain, rope, and synthetic products. The association works to establish, acquire, preserve, and disseminate various technical information, and encourages the development of safety standards and programs, and product identification procedures. Assistance has been provided for establishing and maintaining adequate products liability insurance, as well as other insurance needs of the industry. Common problems and purposes of the industry, such as those involving production, distribution, service and safety are reviewed and advanced by lawful means on a regular basis. More Information...

Industry Association Meeting: SC&RA Crane & Rigging Workshop
Bishop Lifting Products' representatives will be attending the SC&RA Crane and Rigging Workshop in San Diego, California. We will also be exhibiting and plan to display a variety of high performance rigging slings from Slingmax Rigging Solutions, BigPad outrigger pads, Straightpoint Load Cells, and Crosby Rigging Hardware for wire rope and chain. EXPO: Permian Basin International Oil Show
The Permian Basin International Oil Show brings together people from every phase of the petroleum intdustry. The PBIO is a non-profit venture whose sole purpose is educational, designed to serve the oil and gas industry. The PBIOS takes place in Odessa, Tx. TRAINING & OPEN HOUSE: Crosby Rigging Seminar & Shrimp Boil
We will be hosting a Crosby Seminar & Shrimp Boil in Houston on November 16th. The Crosby seminar will include instruction on rigging plans, inspection requirements, the rigging triangle, load control & hitches, and an overview of rigging standards. After the seminar we'll have a shrimp boil and open house at our headquarters on 125 McCarty Drive. On the morning of the 17th Crosby will have a computer tools training class for those who attended the seminar and have reserved a spot (limited seating RSVP in advance).
